About

Hi! I'm Laurie Nowling and I'm the owner and main photographer at Bliss Eleven Studio.  Typically I think the "About" pages on photography websites are pretty cheesy so I will try to be as uncheesy as possible as I describe what it is we do here at Bliss Eleven.  One thing is for sure.....we love our clients, we love what we do and we take the job of preserving your memories very serious in a silly, crazy, fun way that assures you get the most amazing, genuine, high quality images that you will be showing off to your friends and family and proudly displaying in your home.  We feel that what we do here is important work, not curing hunger or finding an answer to world peace important but, important nonetheless.

We highly recommend doing your homework before you hire a photographer.  Ask the important questions....are they licensed and insured? (we are).  Do they double and/or triple back up your images? (we do).  Are they passionate about what they do or is this just another "job" for them? (we LOVE what we do, in fact, many of our clients become lifelong friends in the process). We want this to be a positive and special experience for you because, let's face it, we want you to come back year after year. It's so cool to see our littlest clients grow and we hope that you love us so much you will decide that we are your go to photographers for your family.

We are so proud of our little studio which is located in a quaint, historic building on the north end of Main Street in St. Charles, MO.  When you book your shoot please specify if you prefer in studio, out on Main Street or both.  We also love to mix it up so if you have a fab location in mind that you know we will love or if you would like another look other than Main Street just let us know!! We want your photos to be totally about you so the sky is the limit. We also have a great little powder room and changing area for clients that is stocked with all of the necessities needed in order to look fresh and fantastic for your shoot. Snacks and beverages will also be on hand should anyone get cranky mid-session (that includes you Mom and Dad). Main Street with all of it’s stairways and porches and brick lined alleyways are also perfect spots for additional outdoor shots that will be a part of your studio session

We share our studio space with I Am What I Am.  I Am What I Am on Main Street is a local artisan handmade marketplace where you'll find one of a kind and completely unique items handcrafted by local artists including clothing, jewelry, accessories, gifts, sculptures, and so much more.  We have a great, fun energy in the studio that is unmatched anywhere else in the area.

Please, please, please don't hesitate to drop us a line or stop by and say "hi".  We love getting to know our clients and their families.  We can't wait to begin this journey with you! It's going to be so much fun!
